Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This policy covers how we handle personal data through the Website itself — browsing, the contact form, and the newsletter sign-up. If you go on to enquire about, book a Safari, or purchase a Product directly with us (by phone, email, or in person), we will give you further information at that time about how we handle the additional data involved (such as travel documents, health/dietary information relevant to your safety, payment details, and any photographs taken of you during a Safari) — that isn't covered by this page, since it isn't collected through the Website.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Name and email address, when you use the contact form or sign up to the newsletter.

  • The content of any message you send us.

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring pages.

  • Approximate location (city/region level, not precise GPS).

2. How We Use This Information

  • To respond to your enquiry.

  • To send you newsletter updates, if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email).

  • To understand how the Website is used and improve it.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies

The Website uses cookies to operate correctly and to understand how it's used (e.g. pages visited, general location). You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. We use Squarespace's built-in analytics for this; no other analytics or marketing tracking tool is currently in use.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Squarespace hosts the Website and processes the data described above (including contact form and newsletter submissions) on its infrastructure, which is based in the United States.

  • Squarespace Email Campaigns, if you sign up to receive updates.

Because Squarespace (and any other tool named above) is not based in Kenya, using the Website involves your data being processed outside Kenya. We take reasonable steps to ensure any such transfer is handled to a standard consistent with both Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019 and UK GDPR.

5. Data Retention

  • Contact form enquiries that don't lead to further contact: 12 months.

  • Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you, object to certain processing, withdraw consent (e.g. for the newsletter) at any time, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're UK-based. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.

7. Children's Privacy

The Website is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the contact form or newsletter sign-up.

8. Security

We rely on the security measures of reputable providers (Squarespace and any tool named in Section 6) to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted online.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on the Website applies from that point.
